The first writer that I really fell in love with was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in particular his Sherlock Holmes stories, and the first story that I ever wrote was a Sherlock Holmes story. It was a kind of pastiche. I was inspired by the then-new example of The Seven-Per-Cent Solution by Nicholas Meyer. I guess I was ten or eleven years old, when I decided I would write my own Sherlock Holmes adventure.
