I read because I want to live more than one life. Books take us out of ourselves into a whole other world. I love holding a new book in my hands knowing that I can climb inside this thing and live another life for a bit. The best books allow us to bring something back, some new insight into what it is to be human. And the very best of them make us a slightly different person from the one who read the first page.
