I write because I love knowing my stories bring people joy. Books have helped me through some very difficult times, providing solace and escape and an intangible hope that things will eventually improve. I can’t describe how wonderful it is to hear from readers that my books have, in turn, lifted them through a dark period. Not many people can say they make people happy for a living! Being a storyteller—taking people into another world through my words and my imagination alone—feels like an incredible gift, one I deeply cherish.
