When I write, I have a specific reader in mind. She’s a mom, wife, working professional. Her hours are filled with taking care of others. She gets up early, serves her clients, drives the kids to soccer, makes dinner, then finally collapses into bed. If she’s lucky, she has fifteen minutes to herself, and if she spends that time reading one of my books, I want to make damn sure that the story will transport her, uplift her, and leave her in a happy place. She is why I write.
