Mark Twain’s quote “The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read” had a significant influence on me in my early years, which helped me take to reading seriously. Today, I read as much for knowledge and entertainment as for being able to write. Reading to me is the flip side of writing. One who does not read much cannot write much either, though paradoxically, the time spent on reading is time not spent on writing and vice versa.
