Of all the books I’ve read, it was a romance story that influenced me the most. That book was titled Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. Ruark’s love for Shanna was so heartfelt and his determination to win her love was so profound. With the strength of his love, he was able to break down each and every one of Shanna’s defenses and barriers. Each time I reread that novel, I am caught up in the depth of an empowering love. Not only did it influence me, it inspired me to write my own romance stories.
