I read because as much as I love film and television, and documentaries, and Facebook, and Twitter and Snapchat, and my abacus . . . nothing, and I mean nothing, can compare with the written word for entertainment. No other medium allows you to get so completely lost in an imagined world. In my books, that means telling embarrassing stories from my personal life to make readers laugh and cringe.
