Whatever psychic wounds have turned me into a writer I am thankful for. Because writing lets me live a life deeper than the surface. I surrender to the mystic and discover that beneath my madness, there is order, wonderful order, bigger than ego and consciousness. There is pain at the source of writing—but it is forever exceeded by the power of its alchemy.
