When I say I have the need to write, I do mean need. This feeling has been inside me for as long as I can remember. I once explained to my first editor that I had all this “stuff” going around in my head . . . people, their lives, their stories, all real to me. I told her that if I didn’t get it all out, they would take me away in a straitjacket! To say that I love my work is an understatement. The playwright Noël Coward said that work was more fun than fun. I couldn’t agree with him more.
