I read for the same reason I write. Within the pages of a book, I can travel the world—even travel to worlds that don’t technically exist—all from the relaxation of my couch. I can experience a new career, become a teenager all over again, and fall in love with a new man. Or a thousand new men! (Bonus: If I’m the one doing the writing, those men have to do everything I tell them!) But best of all, I always experience a happily ever after.
